Arijit's Sketch Blog: June 2009

I was all busy these many days. Few exciting things just happened in Mumbai would like to share some pictures which was taken in CGTExpo 2009 conducted by cgtantra.com in Powai. As told CGT EXPO is India's First Career Guidance and Computer Graphics Technology Expo on Animation, Visual Effects and Gaming. More information here.
There I got to meet many of my past colleagues from Maya Entertainment Ltd and Zoo Animation Studio. And we were very happy to meet up again. The special attraction for me was the Master Classes, specially "Sneak Peak into the making of Merry Madagascar by Dreamworks Dedicated Unit at Paprikaas" So, I was one of the first few to have a sneek peak to what Dreamworks in Bangalore is working on! All the artist shared their unique learning experience that they had while working and how they solved all the issues that came in the process of making. It was really very informative and inspiring .

I was interested in "Little Krishna by Big Animation - Case Study" they did some really sweet animation in the television series currently shown in Nick channel. But I missed that one!

I have also attended other master classes like "Careers@Singapore by Contact Singapore and LucasFilm Animation Singapore". where Mrs. Ho Ee Hong shared with us on how we can apply in companies in Singapore. And how it is to be in Singapore. It was the last show of the event. You can see few picture in the cgtantra website here.

Alright!! He was our first team lead in Maya Entertainment Ltd. Balmeet Kohli! He is totally cool and fun person to be around! Now he is in the Frameboxx Incubation. I went to the event along with Rahul in (the center back!) and when we reached there Balmeet was the first one we meet!
